Hypno-Reiki to Treat Anxiety and Stress

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

In our society, we are bombarded by fast paced changes and many daily challenges. As a result our lives are full of stresses in our personal life and relationships, our careers, job settings and the demands on our time. In addition the current economic climate creates additional stresses such as those stresses related to being unemployed and being able to meet financial obligations to keep a home and paying for food, utilities.

It has long been known there is a direct relationship between people experiencing long-term stress, developing illnesses and having long recovery times from simple colds or injuries and worse. Those who have learned to manage their stress levels are less prone to stress related illness and are able to recover much quicker. So, learning to manage your stress levels will effect how well your immune system keeps you healthy.

Hypnosis is an exceedingly effective method for managing emotional issues such as anxiety, fear and physical and mental stress. Hypnosis helps to relax your mind and body by reducing the effects of the emotional stressors and allowing your mind and body to reset your stress levels to a more manageable state day to day.

Reiki is a spiritual, holistic therapy utilizing the universal life force energy. Reiki removes energy blockages and corrects the flow of energy through our bodies, bringing the body back into a more natural state of balance and harmony.

Hypno-Reiki blends these two amazing therapies. A Hypno-Reiki practioner actually studies techniques that can combine and enhance the spiritual practice of Reiki with the power of the subconscious mind and hypnosis. This combination is an extremely powerful healing process.

You can think of the deep relaxation of the physical body and mind through hypnosis as preparation for Reiki. Consider Reiki like a massage for the non-physical layers of your being (your aura). Reiki is often done without any physical touch. Most clients report feeling very relaxed after a Reiki session. Many report feeling increased calmness, reduction in stress, and diminishing the effects of pain or other symptoms.

A Hypno-Reiki healing session can induce an extremely deep state of relaxation – similar to a deep meditative state that would take years to master in traditional schools of meditation and yoga. Traditionally Reiki has been used as a pathway to spiritual growth.

Stop Smoking With Hypnosis

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Can you really “permanently” stop smoking? Yes you can if done properly.

There is a profound difference between a smoker who has stopped smoking and a non-smoker. The smoker courageously resists with their willpower having a cigarette, but the non-smoker can’t think of anything worse than putting poison in to their body by smoking.

You’ve probably heard people who have quit smoking 10 years ago still say “Every time I have a beer or coffee I still want a cigarette” – if you are trying to stop smoking those are very disheartening words to hear! But what method did they use to stop smoking.

It simply means they only quit smoking at a conscious level – that is, they deliberately and consciously decided to stop, and stopped, and their abstinence is sustained only through their will power. However, subconsciously, smoking is still an attractive prospect for them, and that is where smoking needs to be tackled.  When you stop with the subconscious mind it is much easier to maintain being a permanent non smoker vs. someone who stopped smoking and who still has the cravings and potentially the emotional desire to continue.
If you’re going to quit smoking, do it right!

There are a million and one ways to stop smoking – from nicotine patches and chewing gum, to tablets, lozenges, inhalers, stop smoking drugs. In addition, there are plenty of people out there willing to tell you how to stop smoking – how to stop smoking tips are everywhere. But they all miss one vital component – the subconscious mind.

If you are going to make the effort to free yourself from the terrible effects of smoking, why not do it right? Use a proper smoking cessation program that will leave you free of the desire to smoke.
Our Hypnosis Smoking Cessation Program

This program will help to gently move your mind from its current craving state to complete freedom from cigarettes.

You will no longer be controlled by the need to smoke. No more planning your day so you can smoke, no more running outside at work or at parties, no more worrying whether you have enough cigarettes left.

Smoking-cessation methods that treat smoking as an addiction (nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and so on) have a very low success rate, acknowledged to be around 23%.

An effective treatment of smoking dependency must take into account this fact – that the smoker is not really an addict.
Yes, you heard right!

When many smokers are told during their smoking cessation program that they can keep smoking they are quite surprised:

“You continue to smoke while you progress through the program. You stop on the last session or when you don’t want to smoke anymore.”

Now, isn’t that easier on the smoker? Definitely! Does the smoker need to have extraordinary will power to break the habit? Of course not! By connecting the smoker with his/her sub-conscious he/she can identify the source of their habit, acknowledge it and then make the choice to stop smoking.

The Challenge to Stop Smoking

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

For those who would like to stop smoking, there are many methods out there. You can try laser treatment, acupressure, replacement therapy, etc. Hypnosis is, however, supposed to be the best. It does require great skill, but when used properly, it can produce wonderful results.

There are many practitioners using hypnosis to help their patients quit smoking. It is becoming a very accepted form of treatment, no longer something to whisper about or keep to yourself.

When we hear the word hypnosis , we start to wonder can I be hypnotised and would it work for me? Well, the answer is Yes!

Hypnosis cannot force you to do anything you don’t really want to do. It is simply a way to assist you in getting in touch with deeper layers of your psyche, but you are still in control of the entire process, even if you are not really conscious of it. It’s a well known fact that hypnosis can only be effective when the subject on some level (even if only subconsciously) agrees with the instructions given by the hypnotherapist.

Let’s find out more about it, then. What is hypnosis? It is a way for us to relax our mind and focus on the one thing that is a problem to us, on our goal and the result we want to achieve.

Hypnosis helps us to relax and sink down to our unconscious, where the driving forces behind our addictions lay. It helps us reprogram all the associations and beliefs, often totally irrational, which nevertheless have been directing our behavior for years.

Hypnosis can be done in two ways. We can either hypnotise ourselves or go to a professional. It is best if we first consult a professional hypnotherapist, because self hypnosis requires a great deal of practice and patience. A hypnotherapist will most likely suggest multiple sessions to help us stop smoking.

One of the fears people have when contemplating quitting smoking is that it will be terribly difficult and that the withdrawal symptoms will be hard to endure. And yet I have heard many stories where people quit from one day to the next and never even thought about it again. Their decision was so strong that there was no thought of cravings . This would suggest that the mental part of both smoking and quitting smoking is the key. And that the body will just follow. If the mind is undecided, the body will be torn by urges and withdrawal symptoms or cravings . And if the mind is very clearr in what it wants, the body will suffer very minimal effects. Nicotine should leave the body within 3 or so days and there are many things you can do to minimize discomfort during that period.

Hypnosis helps us clear the mental pathways to making a clear and unequivocal decision. And once that decision is made, we don’t even need any external help. Many people have quit at this point without any external aids, and they have never gone back to smoking. Why? Because they didn’t want to. But that didn’t want to has to go all the way into the subconscious. It cannot be a shallow wishful thinking .

So give it a try! Quitting smoking does not have to be traumatic! It can be the beginning of a wonderful period in your life. Start looking forward to it already! Many people admit that going without nicotine for 72 hours is very doable. And that’s really all it takes for the physical side to not be a challenge anymore. And once the mental challenge has been met, you will be on your way to freedom.

Hypnotic Suggestion is the Easiest Way to Stop Smoking

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Hypnotic suggestion is easiest and in many cases the only way to stop smoking.  It is completely safe and medically approved.

Hypnosis is pleasant.  It is a stage of concentration like daydreaming, fascinated reading, absorption in music, or religious ceremony.

Your conscious mind or willpower is relatively weak.  It vacillates continuously.  It creates many excuses why you should not stop.  It says to you: “You’ve been smoking too long to stop, you deserve at least a small pleasure, you don’t really smoke so much, you’ll gain weight if you stop, you can cut down instead, you can switch to filter tips instead.  I’ve tried everything and can’t stop and so on and so.”

However your subconscious mind is strong it has a great ability to create.  It is the main stabilizing force you possess.  Once it is set on a certain course of action it rarely lets you very from it.  In order for you to stop smoking you must tap the great power of your subconscious mind.  You must convince it that you no longer smoke.  Back smoking is bad for you.  When you have done that you will stop.

The subconscious mind works at maintaining what you tell it you are.  If it thinks you’re a smoker because you tell it you smoke it will keep you smoking.  If you keep telling it that you’ve already quit eventually you will never have another cigarette.

The only truly effective way to reach your subconscious mind is through hypnosis and self hypnosis. Hypnosis is completely safe!

Smokers Vs. Non-Smokers at Work

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

In Melbourne Australia some employers are stopping the frequency of cigarette breaks, while other companies are deciding to hire non-smokers over smokers due to the thought that smokers are less productive workers.

Some research has shown that smokers are more likely to miss work compared to those who do not smoke.

It is common for those that do not smoke to consider their co-workers that smoke as taking too many cigarette breaks while the non-smokers continue to work.

Since work and productivity are important it is clear that quitting smoking has endless benefits.

Hypnosis is one of the best ways to break the smoking habit.

The Power of Hypnotherapy

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Confidence can be hard to pin down at times! Most people have had the experience of observing someone they know at a party or in a work situation, communicating with ease and naturally, without a hint of self-consciousness and have thought, “Why cant that be me?”

People look to hypnotherapy, Herts for all types of confidence problems. It may be that you lack confidence within specific relationships or situations, you may want to be more assertive or to become a better public speaker. Perhaps you want to be able to share some of the knowledge and ideas that you hold back because of lack of confidence, or you find it difficult to speak up in front of groups of people. Some people feel they lack confidence in all areas of their lives. All these experiences are common and can be helped by hypnotherapy, Herts.

Of course, in life there will always be natural differences among people. Some people just seem to be more introverted, whilst others seem to enjoy the limelight and draw others towards them with ease. Whether confidence is a problem is self-defined by the individual. If it impacts on your life in subtle or more obvious ways and you feel frustrated or held back by lack of confidence, then hypnotherapy may benefit you.

Hypnotherapists use hypnosis to bring about positive therapeutic changes in order to help people solve problems, such as lack of confidence. Hypnosis is an experience characterised by deep relaxation, a concentrated focus and increased sensory alertness. This state of mind occurs spontaneously and people slip in and out of this state, known as ‘trance’, all the time, in everyday life. Examples of trance states include fantasising about someone you are attracted to, becoming deeply immersed in a book, being anxious about an event causing you to re-live what could go wrong over and over in your head and daydreaming. As you may see from the examples given, trance states can be positive or negative, depending on what is being focused on.

Hypnotherapists induce deeply relaxing trance states because when a person is deeply relaxed, access to the unconscious mind is enabled. The hypnotic process is wonderfully pleasant and relaxing, which in itself is beneficial for people who lack confidence and experience stress and worry on a regular basis. Being free of stress and worry, during the hypnotic process, allows the therapists to pack your unconscious mind with positive suggestions of confidence. Whilst in this state you also get to practice situations in which you will act with confidence and conviction, through a process known as visualisation.

Hypnotherapy can also be effective in removing negative associations that you have developed between situations and feeling unconfident and it can also be used to remove and free you from negative emotions from the past. Sometimes self-esteem can be related to childhood experiences and these can be dealt with through at Hypnotherapy, Herts.

During your hypnotherapy treatment, the hypnotherapist will also work with you to achieve confidence through a technique called anchoring, which involves learning to develop an association between an external trigger, and a emotional response. Anchors develop all the time in everyday life as the human mind attempts to understand your environment by looking for patterns between things. Not all anchors are positive. People learn to make negative associations between things, such as feeling anxious or worried when they are required to give a presentation to colleagues. Your hypnotherapist can work with you to remove negative anchors.

If you are fed up with being held back or not being able to do what you dream of doing because of lack of confidence, book your appointment with a hypnotherapist now!

Addiction and the Habit of Smoking

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Like any other addiction, the habit of smoking is one that is difficult to quit. Most of them continue down the road of destruction, puffing on the silent killer, day after day. People turn for help towards pills, injections, nicotine patches, support groups, inspirational books and even the revolutionary idea of genetic modification as methods to get rid of the habit of cigarette smoking. There is one way which can truly beat the habit, and that is to simply take away the very idea of smoking. It is a very wonderful concept if put into practice. It sounds so simple in statement, yet many a person finds it incredibly difficult to stay on and execute the job in an effective way.

Even those people that smoked 30 cigarettes a day for a good ten years have been able to quit the habit of smoking very quickly; that too, without any side effects such as weight gain, dizziness, strong cravings or mood changes. In order to be successful, one has to rewire one’s brain by looking at the habit from a different angle. Out of the many methods and ways pursued to quit tobacco cigarette smoking, hypnotherapy works for many people. Hypnotherapy does not involve the likelihood of a person going into a state of trance. It does not even mean that you have to leave your house. There are a lot of books and CDs that act as a sort of hypnotic therapy activity. Taking the help of hypnotherapy to kick the habit of smoking is quite simple; and it has got the potential to changes your views regarding smoking. You might go in for the argument that smoking helps you shed your anxieties, but hypnotherapy will try to reprove whether this is really the case.

In short, hypnotherapy can remove the reasons you put forward for continuing with the habit of smoking. If you fall short of having any justification for your urge to smoke, then you may not feel the need to pick up and light a cigarette. Smoking is first and foremost a sort of psychological addiction, and some of the remedies do not help remove the psychological bond you have with tobacco cigarettes; instead, they just go on to strengthen it. How many times have you been to the cinema and sat there for a few hours without feeling the urge to smoke? In fact, the only time a person wants a cigarette is when he actually thinks about the fact that he has not smoked for a while.

To conclude, it is important that you break your psychological dependence on cigarettes. The only way to break the barrier of psychological addiction is to streamline the thought patterns you have subconsciously developed over the course of your smoking stint during your smoking life period. One of the best ways would be to achieve this through hypnotherapy. If you are really intent on getting rid of the habit, ensure that you do not replace one addiction with another one.
